Fire safety officer course
Safety in the workplace is an essential aspect for any company. Among the most important figures for emergency management is the Fire Safety Officer, a professional who needs specific training and periodic refresher courses in order to ensure a timely and effective response.
Why is fire safety
training essential?
Under current legislation, in particular Legislative Decree 81/08 and the Ministerial Decree of 2 September 2021, every company is required to provide adequate training to fire prevention officers, with regular refresher courses.
This training not only makes it possible to handle emergencies promptly, but actively contributes to reducing risks through in-depth knowledge of the safety measures to be adopted.
Which refresher courses
must the fire safety officer take?
Refresher training for Fire Safety Officers is a legal obligation. As set out in the Ministerial Decree of 2 September 2021, refresher training is required every 5 years, with a duration that varies according to the company’s risk level:
Level 1
(formerly low risk)
2-hour refresher with
practical training
Level 2
(formerly medium risk)
5-hour refresher (2 hours
of theory + 3 hours of practice)
Level 3
(formerly high risk)
8-hour refresher (5 hours
of theory + 3 hours of practice)
